Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and support daily operations in a fast-paced store. You will lead by example, ensure excellent customer service, and help maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment (register, calculator, scanner).
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multitask, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts/merchandise as needed.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by proactively visiting registers and guiding cashiers.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supply levels, and maintain restroom and parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide leadership.
