Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a fast-paced cashier team and support daily operations. You will ensure excellent customer service, assist with register issues, and help train new cashiers while maintaining accuracy and efficiency at the front-end.

The role requires leadership, reliable scheduling, and a strong focus on team coordination, with opportunities for growth in a customer-centric grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to operate front end equipment (register, calculator, scanner) and handle cash with accuracy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team; capable of multi-tasking and staying organized.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks at registers.
• Assist customers with issues at the register and ensure excellent service.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain cashiering area and ensure security and cleanliness.
