Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver outstanding customer service. The role involves mentoring Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks, managing breaks, and maintaining register operations with a focus on security and efficiency.

You will assist in hiring/training, handle issues at the register, and ensure a welcoming store environment. This position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks to ensure excellent customer service.
• Assist with customer issues at the register and maintain smooth checkout flow.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
