Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead the front-end team in delivering outstanding customer service. You will mentor cashiers and courtesy clerks, manage scheduling and break compliance, and assist with hiring and training processes to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

The role requires leadership presence, strong communication, and a proactive approach to daily operations in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer interaction skills and a role model demeanor for front-end behavior.
• Proficiency with front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Good numeracy and the ability to follow directions within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by guiding cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps and maintain cash register supplies and restroom/parking cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility for security and loss prevention at entry/exit points.
• Oversee proper meal and rest breaks in line with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training of new cashiers and handle disciplinary steps as needed.
