Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit great.
• Package customer purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their mode of transportation
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and cart corrals throughout your shift
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed
• Clean the can redemption area and empty recycle bins where applicable
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and locations in store/backroom
• Pull product forward on shelves to maintain a full, organized appearance
• Check prices on products as needed
• Maintain front end supplies including bags and receipt paper
• Help train new courtesy clerks
• Deliver product to customers and assist in all departments as requested within wage/hour guidelines
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways as needed
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist in other areas and take on special projects as assigned
• Maintain personal hygiene, dress standards and Hy-Vee policies
• Report to work on time
