Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience by leading front-end operations, coordinating checkout flow, and guiding cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members to meet productivity and service expectations.

Through coaching and labor utilization, the role improves customer satisfaction and front-end efficiency. You will coordinate training, monitor performance, and escalate concerns to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication, organization and urgency in customer service.
• Team leadership and multitasking capabilities.
• Comfort with physical tasks as required by shift duties.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for shift handoffs.
• Walk the department and perform shift handoffs when leaders are absent.
• Coordinate actions to monitor shrink and financial outcomes.
• Lead community program participation and teammate engagement.
• Train and mentor team members in their areas of care.
• Assign tasks within the department and ensure completion.
• Serve as SME for market programs and development initiatives.
