Job summary

Meijer, Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience by leading front-end operations.

You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end standards, and assign work to cashiers, service desk, and courtesy staff to meet productivity and service goals. You will supervise team members, coach for performance, and train new staff while acting as a subject matter expert on market programs and company pilots.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Physical capability to perform lifting, carrying, bending and other movements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth shift handoffs.
• Perform department walk-throughs and shift hand-offs.
• Coordinate actions to monitor shrink and financial outcomes.
• Encourage participation in community programs and mentor teammates.
• Train team members on-the-job and provide coaching.
• Lead as SME for market programs and pilots.
• Assign tasks and follow up to ensure completion.
