Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Service Coordinator in the United States. This role leads front-end operations to ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience, coordinating checkout flow, front-end standards, and assigning work to cashiers, service desk, and courtesy team members.

You will coach teams, manage labor utilization, and resolve customer issues to drive satisfaction and efficiency. The position requires leadership in training and frontline program execution.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register systems and financial services equipment.
• Excellent communication; customer oriented and organized.
• Strong multi-tasking and sense of urgency.
• Physical ability to lift and move as needed.
• Weight-bearing activities may vary by shift and season.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift handoffs with peer leadership.
• Perform department survival walks and shift hand-offs.
• Monitor shrink and financial outcomes; escalate as needed.
• Champion community programs and lead TMRG engagement.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members.
• Provide hands-on training and mentoring.
• Act as SME for market programs and pilots.
• Assign tasks to team members with the team leader and ensure completion.
