Job summary

Omnicare is hiring a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support our closed-door pharmacy and assist with order entry alongside pharmacists to ensure accuracy and top customer service. The role focuses on triaging requests, dosage verification, and maintaining accurate patient records in a supportive, team-driven environment.

The position requires a verified high school diploma or GED and pharmacy technician certification with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Certified/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx’s are back in timely manner.
• Provide dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, and other flags from the system.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records.
