Omnicare seeks a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support the closed-door pharmacy operations, working with pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing and strong customer service in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes triaging requests, verifying dosages, and maintaining precise patient records.

You will participate in narcotics handling, allergies checks, and drug interaction reviews, contributing to safe, high-quality care for residents in skilled nursing and assisted living

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsabilités

• Perform order entry tasks and collaborate with the pharmacist in the dispensing process.
• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response needed.
• Assist in verifying dosages and drug interactions and maintaining accurate customer records.
• Support in reviewing narcotic prescriptions and ensuring timely returns.

Connaissances

Pharmacy technician certification/lic

1+ year experience as pharmacy tech

Formation

High School Diploma or GED
