Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Front End Team Leader to oversee Front End, Cash Office and Service Desk operations. You will direct daily activities, order materials, and implement initiatives to grow the business while meeting customer needs and maximizing profits.

You will coach team members with timely feedback to develop their skills and drive success. Required: retail leadership or store leadership experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and Food Safety certification.

Qualifications

• Experience: Retail work or Store Leader recommendation.
• Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory; Successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or other similar role.
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Required: Food Safety
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including, but not limited to complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan the work.
• Distribute or assign the work among Team Members.
• Provide for the safety and security of Team Members or the store.
• Manage the budget for your department or location.
• Manage inventory for your department or location; or
• Monitor or implement compliance measures
• Oversee the entire operation of the Front End, ensuring service levels at the registers, SCOs and service desk; maintain store areas.
