Job summary

Food Lion in Clarksville, VA is seeking a Front End Manager to oversee all front-end operations, including service center, self-checkout, and To-Go, while driving customer satisfaction and store performance. You will hire, train, and develop associates, lead daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, manage schedules, and work to achieve budgeted sales and KPIs in a fast-paced environment.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; certification as Food Safety Manager or eligibility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or be able to achieve accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Front End operations including Service Center, Self-Checkout and To-Go.
• Hire, train, and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates; provide ongoing performance management and conduct formal appraisals.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Food Lion Brand, Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financials, operating results and KPIs.
• Ensure Front End schedules and To-Go are written per standards to provide excellent customer service.
