Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Front End Supervisor to support day-to-day department operations across Front End, Customer Service, and Accounting. This role focuses on upholding Kroger’s core values of respect, integrity, and service while improving processes and training staff.

You will lead a team, schedule shifts, ensure a clean, efficient checkout environment, and monitor performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Store retail experience with emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings or nights as needed.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and computer applications.
• Understanding of department operations including people management and scheduling.
• Demonstrated integrity and dependability in prior roles.
• Experience in customer service and front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop more effective processes, policies and procedures for Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient customer service is provided throughout department.
• Improve Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker, Associate Tracker, Cash Over/Short, etc.
• Provide training, support and follow up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service manager and front end supervisors.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Support store management and customer service manager in maintaining a well-organized, clean shopping environment.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform any duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
