Job summary

Kroger in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a Front End Operations Specialist to support day-to-day department operations across Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting. You will help develop efficient policies, train staff and ensure safe, friendly service at the check stands and related areas.

The role requires flexibility for assorted shifts, weekend availability and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, integrity and teamwork within a large retail environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights as the work demands.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed (emphasis on Prime Time).
• Store retail experience with emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of key department operations: managing people, merchandising, inventory, shrink control, scheduling, expenses.
• Past work record showing integrity and dependability.
• Thorough experience in customer service and all front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop more effective and efficient processes, policies and procedures for Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient customer service is provided throughout department.
• Improve Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker, Associate Tracker, Cash Over/Short, and other key retail metrics.
• Provide training, support and follow up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service managers and front end supervisors.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Support store management and customer service in maintaining a well-organized, clean shopping environment at check stands and related areas.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform any duties as assigned.
