Job summary

Meijer is opening a new supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, serving the greater St. Louis area, with a launch in Spring 2027. We seek an engaged Customer Service / Front End Manager to lead team members, drive recognition and coaching, manage staffing and budget items, and implement process improvements.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, engagement, training, and the Meijer culture. Travel may be required for training before opening date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development with coaching and feedback.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support store staffing and leadership roles.
• Ensures Meijer standards are upheld and opportunities for growth are available.
• Oversees area operations and financial results to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drives safety, compliance, and maintains store condition; handles daily work assignments and training needs.
