Job summary

Martin Marietta in Texas seeks a Loader Operator to move aggregates, stockpile materials unloaded from railcars, and load customer trucks accurately and on time. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment emphasizing safety and quality service.

Responsibilities include operating loader/dozer equipment, performing pre-shift inspections, and maintaining housekeeping. Willingness to work long shifts and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience; previous loader operator experience preferred.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer’s instruction.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervision.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
