Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries, Inc. seeks a Front-End Supervisor to lead daily front-end and customer-service operations in our Waco store. You will coach staff, manage cash handling, and maintain store presentation in line with HOT Goodwill’s mission.

You’ll supervise over shifts, ensure accurate transactions, and report issues while upholding safety, loss prevention, and coworker development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in retail, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
• Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory, merchandising, and staffing.
• Experience coaching and supporting team members to achieve performance goals.
• Familiarity with loss prevention, safety procedures, and adherence to company policies.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, including the ability to handle escalated customer or operational issues.
• Ability to support administrative tasks, scheduling, and achievement of store performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coaches retail staff to demonstrate customer service standards and provide support to donors and shoppers.
• Accurately performs register transactions and front-end procedures including opening/closing registers and deposits.
• Maintains proper cash controls and secures tills and company assets.
• Supports merchandise flow, store presentation, signage, and overall appearance.
• Provides training and daily guidance of retail associates and program participants.
• Communicates effectively with store leadership and reports incidents involving damage, misuse, theft, or waste.
