The role requires strong cash handling skills, knowledge of store operations, and the ability to manage high-paced front-end activity, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience or equivalent
• Must obtain HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting role
• Must obtain Tobacco/Alcohol certification where applicable within 2 weeks
• Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks
• AML certification within 2 weeks

Responsibilities

• Works with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work
• Assists in training cashiers on policies, produce codes, cash handling, scanners, and bagging protocol
• Ensures freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation standards are met in front-end operations
• Provides checkout services, bags and transports groceries, and ensures accurate totals and register cash counts
• Monitors parking lot cleanliness and manages customer flow on the front end
• Monitors and manages potential front-end shrink through monitoring partner purchases
• Provides friendly customer service and responds to customer questions and complaints
• Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working environment per company safety procedures
