Rural King in Martinsville, IN seeks a Front End Lead to oversee front end operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will lead front end associates, train new staff, and ensure a smooth checkout experience while managing cash, returns, layaways, and customer inquiries.

Primary duties include coaching cashiers on programs like RK Visa and loyalty, coordinating BOPIS, maintaining store presentation, and supporting shrink reduction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of retail cashier or retail supervisory experience.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong math skills for accurate cash handling.
• Demonstrated ability to thoroughly review and analyze information, identifying errors or inconsistencies to maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to implement policies and procedures, direct staff, and provide customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Flexibility with hours: ability to work a 40-hour workweek with varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to front end operations with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
• Lead front end associates and ensure a seamless checkout process.
• Oversee cashier transactions and layaway processes including monthly audits.
• Educate staff on loyalty programs, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Manage register operations to keep the front end running smoothly.
• Maintain margin bins for product visibility and organization.
• Communicate professionally with Rural King associates and customers.
• Assist customers with load outs and coordinate with Outside Recover team.
• Execute accurate cash management, returns, layaways, exchanges, and price disputes.
• Set up and manage tax-exempt customer plans with accuracy.
• Deactivate EAS devices or security tags as needed.
• Assist shrink reduction by investigating cash shortages and taking corrective actions.
• Monitor store surroundings to prevent shrink and uphold service quality.
• Answer register calls with professional, friendly demeanor and identify Rural King.
• Complete daily paperwork including bank deposits and safe audits.
• Oversee snack/beverage stations to meet customer demand.
• Order necessary store supplies for front-end operations.
• Oversee BOPIS process and weekly audits of orders vs. stock.
