Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Front End Lead to supervise and energize our front end operations. You will guide front end associates to ensure a smooth checkout experience while delivering exceptional customer service in a busy retail environment.

You will train new associates, oversee cashier transactions and layaway processes, and coach staff on loyalty programs, RK Visa, RK Plus Protection Plan, and other store programs.

Responsibilities

• The Front End Lead oversees front end operations with a focus on exceptional customer service and leads front end associates to ensure a seamless checkout process.
• Oversee training for new front end associates and develop their skills.
• Manage cashier transactions and layaway processes including monthly audits.
• Coach cashiers on using cashier scripts and educate them on loyalty programs and RK products.
• Assist cashiers by running a register to keep front-end operations smooth.
• Maintain margin bins for product visibility and organization.
• Communicate professionally with Rural King associates and customers.
• Support customers with load outs and coordinate with Outside Recover Associates for prompt response.
• Handle cash management, returns, layaways, exchanges, and price disputes accurately.
• Set up and manage tax-exempt customer plans with accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure proper deactivation of EAS devices or security wraps as needed.
• Assist in shrink awareness by investigating cash shortages and correcting issues.
• Maintain vigilance to prevent loss while delivering excellent customer service.
• Answer incoming calls at registers with clear identification of Rural King and a friendly demeanor.
• Complete daily paperwork including bank deposits and safe audits.
• Oversee the popcorn and coffee stations and ensure timely upkeep for customer satisfaction.
• Order necessary store supplies for efficient front-end operations.
• Oversee BOPIS, handle online orders, and manage store fulfillment and customer pickups.
• Conduct weekly BOPIS audits to verify orders against inventory and pickup windows.
• Use standard office equipment and participate in cross-training and learning initiatives.
• Provide proactive internal and external support and address inquiries promptly.
