Job summary

Woodlands Market in Marin and San Francisco is seeking Head Cashiers / Customer Service Superstars to lead the front end. You will train, coach and motivate staff, oversee cashiers/baggers, and ensure accurate POS transactions and returns processing.

Qualifications

• Effective customer service and service orientation.
• In-depth knowledge of foods and store products.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
• Ability to process information/merchandise through computer/POS system.
• Access to all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and authorize customer returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization, charge sends, discretion discounts; ensure POS transactions and cash/media control at POS per policies.
• Coordinate Front End service coverage for cashiers and baggers.
• Perform cashier and bagging duties as necessary.
• Assist in training of new cashiers and baggers.
• Assist in preparing daily deposits and change.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention efforts.
• Oversee productivity, breaks and scheduling of cashiers and baggers.
• Motivate, coach and mentor customer service staff.
• Manage store in absence of Store/Assistant Store Manager.
• Address personnel and performance issues with management.
• Maintain front end supplies and order as needed.
• Provide information to customers for special orders or out-of-stock items.
• Check front lot parking as needed.
