Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. seeks a Head Cashier in California to lead a fast-paced front-end team, delivering exceptional customer service and mentoring Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks. You will monitor registers, support customer needs, and uphold store standards.

You will supervise staffing, scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions as needed, while promoting a friendly shopping experience in a health-focused retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication, teamwork and ability to follow directions and take constructive criticism.
• Able to perform repetitious tasks, multitask and stay organized.
• Capable of lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs and moving carts as described.

Responsibilities

• Proactively visit registers to guide Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks and ensure excellent customer service.
• Assist in resolving customer issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee breaks and monitor cash register supplies; maintain cleanliness and security.
• Participate in hiring and training of new Cashiers and enforce disciplinary actions when needed.
• Lead in a fast-paced environment and model expected behaviors.
