Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Training Specialist/Instructional Developer to support analysis, design, and development of U.S. Navy training products.

This position is located in Pensacola, FL, and will be a fully remote position. You will lead front-end instructional design activities, work with Government SMEs to transform technical information into structured content, develop learning objectives, scripts, and storyboards, and ensure NAVEDTRA standards throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience).
• Experience in instructional systems design, curriculum development, or training development.
• Ability to translate technical information into effective learning solutions.
• Strong writing and storyboard-development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end instructional design activities with Government SMEs.
• Transform technical requirements into structured instructional content.
• Develop learning objectives and map them to training requirements.
• Write clear instructional scripts for interactive and web-based training.
• Develop detailed storyboards communicating content, interactions, and assessments.
• Coordinate with multimedia developers to meet NAVEDTRA standards.
• Facilitate SME reviews and incorporate feedback into products.
• Ensure compliance with NAVEDTRA standards and Government requirements.
• Apply adult learning theory and systematic development methodologies.
