Job summary

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Check the bottom of every cart and under all baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures and handle payments per standard practice.
• Assist customers with cash handling, refunds and overrides as needed.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain a neat, clean front end area and proper dress code.
