Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months related experience or training.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Sound judgement and decision making.
• Friendly, approachable team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel (desired).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of service and excellent customer experience by resolving customer concerns.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience and respect in all customer interactions and by thanking customers for their business.
• Greet customers in a genuine and friendly manner and assist them by escorting them to products and load/unload items.
• Oversee front end operations to meet or exceed sales, profit and labor goals through cost control and effective service; maintain front end cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure prompt, accurate checkout and adherence to policies, laws, and regulations.
• Train and coach associates on front end procedures including handling of products, tender, coupons, and price checks.
• Communicate pricing and signage discrepancies to the pricing coordinator.
• Provide back-up coverage for the service operations manager in their absence.
• Gain knowledge of checkout policies and perform cash/tender activities per standards.
• Operate equipment (scanner, register, scale, etc.) per company standards.
• Assist with front-end tasks such as stocking, bagging, and cart collection.
• Comply with safety and sanitation regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
