Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months related experience or training.
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Sound judgement/decision making skills.
• Friendly, approachable/outgoing demeanor/team player.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by sincerity, patience and respect.
• Greet customers and assist them by escorting to products and loading/unloading items.
• Anticipate customer needs and resolve issues to strengthen loyalty.
• Oversee front end operations to meet sales, profit and labor goals; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Determine work priorities and task lists to maintain front end conditions.
• Ensure prompt, accurate checkout and adherence to policies and laws.
• Train and coach associates on front end policies, procedures and price checks.
• Communicate pricing discrepancies to the pricing coordinator.
• Provide back-up coverage for the service operations manager in their absence.
• Maintain knowledge of checkout transactions and perform audits per standards.
• Operate equipment (scanner, register, scale, etc.) per company standards.
• Assist with front-end functions including stocking, bagging, cart collection and cleaning.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
