Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a Customer Service Desk role in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers, process sales at the register and support price checks and returns.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the desk, handling refunds, money orders, lottery service where allowed, and maintaining a tidy checkstand. Must be 18+, able to pass a drug test, and willing to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Idaho/ Alaska tobacco laws).
• Pass a drug test.
• Able to work weekends, any shift and overtime as needed.
• Strong organization and task-prioritization skills.
• Accurate with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales at the point of interaction.
• Open/close the register, ring sales, complete tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area.
• Answer telephones and comply with store policies.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay and gift cards.
• Provide lottery service and issue licenses where applicable.
• Handle lost and found, vendor reports, and other desk tasks.
