Job summary

You will help maintain the checkstand area, handle price discrepancies, and support the customer service desk with a professional, respectful attitude. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of cashier experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 19 in certain states for tobacco.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions including opening/closing registers, ring sales, and completing tender transactions.
• Maintain checkout area to housekeeping standards and handle price discrepancies.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, and other desk transactions.
• Provide lottery service (except Alaska) and issue licenses as needed.
• Manage lost and found and run vendor reports.
• Assist in store accounting functions and bank deposits.
