Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused team member for our store. You will assist customers, process sales, and help maintain a clean, organized checkstand area.

Responsibilities include everyday cashier duties, refunds and exchanges, lottery service where allowed, and supporting a safe, friendly shopping environment for all customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and uphold company policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Six months cashier experience at Customer Service Desk
• Minimum 18 years of age (19 in some states) if selling tobacco
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work weekends, any shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks
• Accuracy/attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and assist fellow associates
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, handle tender transactions, bag merchandise
• Maintain price discrepancy logs and keep checkstand area clean
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies
• Handle refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards, and orders
• Provide lottery service where allowed and handle licenses
• Process vendor reports and assist with lost and found
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults when interacting with customers
