Job summary

Kroger is hiring a Customer Service Associate to assist customers, process sales, and uphold our values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity and safety. You will perform cashier duties, maintain the checkstand, handle refunds and exchanges, and support store operations with a cooperative, fast-paced team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six months cashier experience preferred, and the ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months cashier experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to pass drug test and work weekends; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales at the checkstand.
• Deliver excellent customer service and follow company policies.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area and handle price discrepancies.
• Answer telephones and respond to customer requests.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, gift cards, and bill payments.
• Provide lottery service and manage lost and found as needed.
• Support store accounting and overall store operations under pressure.
