Kennie’s Market Inc. seeks a Cashier to support the Front-end department under the direction of the Office Manager. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and accurate cash handling at the register.

Training is provided; no prior experience is required. You’ll work with store staff to process purchases, manage coupons, and promote Kennie’s Card enrollment while maintaining a clean, secure front end.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short materials.
• Ability to present information clearly to customers in one-on-one or small groups.

Responsibilities

• Follows front end security procedures.
• Counts and processes cash and tender accurately.
• Notifies personnel in cases of theft or shoplifting.
• Ensures proper handling of coupons and proof of purchase.
• Counts and enters cash into the register system.
• Processes checks and food assistance programs (EBT/WIC) as applicable.
• Maintains neat, organized till and registers items with proper identification.
• Assists customers with scanning and order processing.
• Encourages Kennie’s Card sign-up where needed.
• Maintains front end maintenance and cleanliness.
• Cooperates with other departments for promotions.
• Follows safety and loss prevention standards.
