Job summary

Kennies Market Inc is seeking a front-end associate to assist customers, ensure accurate cash handling, and maintain store security. Training will be provided, with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.

The role involves scanning items, validating coupons, processing payments, and supporting the team during promotions and daily operations. A friendly, reliable teammate is essential.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers.
• Basic math: add/subtract tens and hundreds and handle money
• Ability to apply common sense and solve problems in routine situations.

Responsibilities

• Follows front end security procedures.
• Applies paid stickers for proof of purchase.
• Notifies staff in cases of theft or shoplifting.
• Counts and enters cash into the register.
• Handles cash, checks, food stamps, EBT, and WIC.
• Ensures coupons are valid and credited to the correct department.
• Maintains a neat, organized till and processes customer orders accurately.
• Greet customers and assist with signing up Kennie’s Card.
• Scans items for proper identification in the register system.
• Cooperates with team during promotions and store-wide activities.
