Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain accurate cash handling at the Murrells Inlet store. You will greet customers, scan items, bag groceries, and assist with transactions while upholding front end standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn multiple store tasks and cashier duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to perform cashier tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers by name when possible.
• Handle cash, checks, coupons, and payments accurately.
• Scan items, bag groceries, and assist with customer needs at the front end.
• Maintain clean, orderly front end and follow company policies.
• Follow correct bagging procedures for the correct use of bags by type.
• Scan customers' order and handles the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction.
• Make every attempt to maintain accurate cash control.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offers to take the customer's order to their car.
• Maintain alertness and calls for assistance when needed to service customers per service standards.
