Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
• Follows all cash handling procedures — meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
• Assists supervisor in training new Cashier Team Members.
• Assists with controlling customer flow and reducing wait times.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Operates and merchandises to maximize sales potential.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and follows health/sanitation standards.
