Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a friendly Front End Team Member to assist customers at the checkout, bag groceries, and maintain attractive displays. You will use cash registers, follow procedures, and provide courteous service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, upholding alcohol sale regulations, stocking front-end areas, and helping train new cashiers. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for success at this location.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand 6-8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
• Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
• May assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper merchandising and pricing.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment and adheres to safety standards.
