Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Switchboard Operator / Receptionist to handle front desk duties and direct phone calls. This role supports customer service and shopping experience by answering inquiries, directing visitors, and assisting management with scheduling and clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or equivalent, be comfortable with basic math, and operate POS and PBX systems while remaining friendly and professional with customers and associates.

Qualifications

• Basic math and ability to make change.
• Friendly, professional communication with customers and colleagues.
• Experience operating POS and PBX systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and cheerfully.
• Assist customers and associates with questions and requests.
• Distribute applications to prospective associates.
• Schedule appointments for management.
• Keep the work area clean and stocked with supplies.
• Maintain familiarity with store layout and product knowledge.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
