Job summary

SUN Behavioral Delaware in Georgetown, DE is seeking a full-time Receptionist to manage front-desk operations and handle calls, paging, and directory information. You will operate the electronic switchboard, transfer calls, and relay messages while maintaining accurate records in the facility directory.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR and CPI completed in orientation, and experience in customer service or clerical work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CPR and CPI obtained in orientation.
• Experience in a customer service or clerical role.
• Preferred: 1–3 years as a PBX operator; behavioral health setting experience.
• Ability to answer calls within 2–3 rings and maintain HIPAA privacy.

Responsibilities

• Operate electronic switchboard to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls.
• Provide directory information and update the directory database.
• Make announcements over the facility PA system and manage paging/beeper systems.
• Maintain staff on-call lists and home/office contact information.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA privacy laws.
