Job summary

InterMed in Maine is seeking a friendly front desk associate to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handle check-in/out, schedule follow-ups, collect payments, and maintain accurate patient records.

You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, manage the cash drawer, assist billing, notify clinical staff of arrivals, and support HIPAA-compliant operations using our EMR and scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and accurately.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with Windows-based computer applications.
• Familiar with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming patients with friendly, respectful communication.
