Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Guard for a Full Time Reception Credential Desk in Charlotte, NC. The role provides front desk security, access control, and customer service at a commercial real estate location.

You will monitor visitor credentials, operate communication systems, and respond to incidents while upholding site procedures and safety standards. The position offers evening shifts with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Operate front desk communication systems, receive and direct calls, and provide general information or directions in a professional manner.
• Monitor security-related cameras, alarms, and access-control systems, and report unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required documentation.
