Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer in Charlotte, NC. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, log visitors, and provide courteous service at a commercial real estate site.

You will monitor cameras and alarms, respond to incidents, and support reception duties while upholding site policies. A minimum of 1 year in security, strong communication, and a professional presence are essential for success in

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes as directed, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating arrival information to appropriate personnel.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide general site information, and support reception activities in a courteous, professional manner.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and access issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols and notifying appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
