The Olde Soul in Austin is seeking a confident front desk associate to greet guests warmly, recommend services, and secure their next appointment. You’ll track performance, follow up with clients, and maintain a welcoming retail area that enhances the guest experience.

This is a sales-focused role with an hourly wage of $15 plus commissions and performance bonuses, plus ongoing training and employee discounts. A team-first culture and opportunities for growth await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Confident, not pushy; able to serve before selling.
• Enjoys talking to strangers and identifying guest needs.
• Able to handle objections with questions and solutions.
• Organized and detail oriented; nothing slips through the cracks.
• Comfortable with learning new software and tech.
• Experience in guest services helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and make them feel at home.
• Recommend services and products that fit the guest needs.
• Ensure every client leaves with a booked next appointment.
• Follow up with clients via calls, texts, and emails to reduce no-shows.
• Track daily and monthly numbers and know your performance.
• Participate in daily team huddles to stay aligned and energized.
• Give new guests a quick tour of Olde Soul Barbershop.
• Ask happy clients for reviews and referrals naturally.
• Keep front desk and retail areas clean, stocked, and sharp.
