Description

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. Responsibilities include patient customer service, scheduling, data entry, managing electronic health records, and patient education.

Required Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with patients, staff, and the public
  • 2+ years’ administrative support experience in a medical setting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of health insurance processes, medical terminology, CPT, and ICD codes (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to learn
  • Effective multitasking, communication, and attention to detail skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Mandatory HIPAA compliance and good judgment
  • Technologically savvy, familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word, Excel)
Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients, answer questions, and address concerns
  • Answer calls, provide information, and transfer or take messages
  • Schedule appointments and register new patients
  • Manage patient flow and update records
  • Collect payments, verify insurance, and handle billing issues
  • Maintain schedules for multiple doctors and manage inventory
  • Prepare reports, manage referrals, and assist with office tasks
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, talk, hear, use hands, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform repetitive motions. Accommodations available for disabilities.
