Job Title:WAU Student Front Desk Receptionist
Department: Nursing
Reports to: Office Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Days/Hours: Vary
Salary:$17.15/hr

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Welcomes guests and students by greeting them in person or on the telephone; and answers or directs
  • inquiries regarding the nursing programs
  • Reports to the Nursing Office Manager
  • Answers the phone and take messages for personnel
  • Greets everyone that enters the department of nursing
  • Assists with miscellaneous work projects and assignments as instructed
  • Keeps the bulletin boards organized and up to date
  • Keeps office suite tidy and organized
  • Collects and distributes mail daily
  • Runs errands for the department of nursing
  • Uses the Xerox machine, and fax machine as requested
  • Maintains and organizes student permanent files in coordination with the Department of Nursing Admissions
  • and Progressions Coordinator
  • Provides clear explanations to students who call or walk in, of general studies, degree, and nursing admission
  • pre-requisite course requirements
  • Dedicates time each week to assist the Admissions and Progressions Coordinator with projects, assignments as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be professional in dress and communication
  • Must be reliable and on time
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Type accurately and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be able to accurately take phone messages
  • Non-Nursing Majors Only
  • Must be a WAU Student
