Our East St Louis office is looking for either part-time or full-time Front Desk Receptionists to join their team!

Job Purpose

To effectively and efficiently check in patients, verify insurance eligibility, confirm and/or reschedule appointments as needed, and collect payments for services provided.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and check in patients
  2. Answer the phone and schedule appointments
  3. Maintain patient accounts and records
  4. Know and understand insurance plan rules and protocols and able to follow them
  5. Have patience and ability to be sensitive to patient emotions
  6. Listen to patients and other healthcare workers and follow directions from a Dentist or supervisor
  7. Verify patient's insurance
  8. Ensure all record keeping requirements are fully and accurately completed
  9. Submit claims to insurance companies
  10. Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or general safety concerns
  11. Attend and participate in morning huddles, chart reviews and regular office meetings
  12. Follow company policy and procedures
  13. Understand and follow HIPAA regulations, state and Federal OSHA laws and safety standards and maintain confidentiality
  14. Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications/ Skill Sets

  1. Excellent customer/patient service and verbal communication skills
  2. Ability to read, write, speak and understand information and effectively present information one-on-one with patients
  3. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details written or verbally instructed
  4. Basic computer knowledge
  5. Experience with dental management software preferred
  6. Ability to work in fast-paced, patient-focused environment
  7. Organizational skills and attention to detail
  8. Interpersonal and listening skills
  9. Requires excellent customer service skills
  10. Previous dental office experience preferred but not required
  11. Training provided

Availability / Schedule:

Working hours between: M-F, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM and Sat, 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Full time employment:

  1. 4+ days a week, 30-40 hours per week
  2. Available to work Saturdays, when needed
  3. Full shifts (8-10 hours)

Part time employment:

  1. 2+ days a week, 29 hours or less per week
  2. Available to work Saturdays, when needed
  3. Multiple half day shifts or fewer full day shifts
