The Ion Center for Violence Prevention in Kentucky is seeking a compassionate Front Desk/Program Assistant to greet clients, answer calls, assess needs, and connect people with services. This role supports trauma-informed programs and provides administrative help.
Responsibilities include crisis intervention support, data entry, coordinating with community partners, and assisting with advocacy and referrals.
The Ion Center for Violence Prevention is a non-profit agency serving 13 Kentucky counties with an important mission: providing the best care of people who have been impacted by power-based personal violence and measurably reducing the number of people who have been hurt by it. The Ion Center is looking for a compassionate individual that serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community members seeking support from the Ion Center.
Creates a welcoming, trauma-informed environment by greeting clients, answering phones, assessing immediate needs, and connecting individuals with appropriate services and resources. Coordinates access for victims through answering the hotline and for individuals who walk-into Ion Center office locations, and ensure appropriate connections are made. Maintains a trauma informed environment. Provides administrative support to direct service programs.
