Job summary

The Ion Center for Violence Prevention in Kentucky is seeking a compassionate Front Desk/Program Assistant to greet clients, answer calls, assess needs, and connect people with services. This role supports trauma-informed programs and provides administrative help.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention support, data entry, coordinating with community partners, and assisting with advocacy and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care.
  • Ability to work under highly stressful, crisis-oriented situations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Complete trainings for funding requirements and knowledge building.
  • Must be minimum age of 18.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients, answer phones, assess needs, and connect to services.
  • Provide trauma-informed individual and group services.
  • Enter data in the agency database and manage mail.
  • Coordinate property maintenance and service; support programs.
  • Assist with community coordination and donor communications.
