Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our Pensacola outpatient physical therapy center. You will welcome patients, register them, and guide them through their visit and next appointment in a busy front-desk environment.

The role supports both patient care and center operations, including handling co-pays, payer approvals, and insurance verifications while maintaining a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
