Select Medical seeks a Patient Service Specialist at our Portland, ME outpatient PT center. You’ll greet patients, register guests, and coordinate visits, while handling scheduling and payer communications to support smooth, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and at least 1 year in medical front desk work. This full-time role offers a stable schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 year of Medical Office Experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of Front Desk Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and explain what to expect during visits.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies, and translation services.
• Collect co-pays, obtain payer approvals, and perform insurance verifications.
