Job summary

Central Oregon Surgery Center (COSC), part of Cascade Surgicenter, is seeking a part-time Patient Services Specialist in Bend, OR. The role supports front desk reception, patient check-in, insurance verification, and chart preparation in a patient-centered outpatient setting.

You will coordinate reception activities, assist with basic billing tasks when needed, and ensure accurate medical records and communications across the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Good problem solving abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication (in person, phone, email, and fax).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, verifies insurance and ID.
• Answers incoming calls, voicemails, and faxes.
• Back up support for billing tasks.
• Prepare patient charts and upload financial documentation.
• Enter depletions into AdvantX and break down patient charts.
