Job summary

Select Medical's outpatient physical therapy center in Hagerstown is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, schedule appointments, and handle front-desk operations. This full-time role supports both patient care flow and center administration.

Starting compensation is $16.00-$18.00 per hour, with a Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday/Friday schedule that keeps evenings free, plus benefits such as PTO, health plans, and a 401(k) program for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and leaders.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.
